About the e-training resources

This area contains customised e-training resources for workers in the community and disability services sectors. The e-training resources include eight units of competency that sit within the Australian Quality Training Framework and two learning modules that are designed for independent learning and professional development.

These resources have been produced as part of the Strengthening Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) strategy and the Strengthening Rural NGOs funding program.

The Strengthening NGOs strategy includes a range of collaborative initiatives between the Queensland Government and the community and disability sectors to build the capacity of government-funded organisations and provide practical support for their work. The Strengthening Rural NGOs funding program is one of the components of the Queensland Government's Blueprint for the Bush, a 10-year plan for building strong, sustainable rural communities.

Building a strong, skilled workforce for the community and disability sectors is an important aim of both these initiatives. This area has been developed to provide workers in these sectors with practical, accessible resources for training and professional development.

The resources include learning content, training activities and assessment items for eight units of competency in the Community Services Training Package CH02:

Anyone wishing to be assessed in any of the eight accredited units will need to enrol with a registered training organisation to gain recognition of accredited units of competency.
